Ali Reid is a journalist and a current Morning Show Reporter for WMBD/WYZZ in Peoria, Illinois.
Since starting in June 2018, she started a segment called “What’s Your Story?” where she takes a dart, throws it at a map of Central Illinois, and wherever that dart lands she goes and tells a story in that town. It has enabled her to get to know her broadcast area and uncover and tell incredible stories in the community. Those story segments have ranged from the trials and travails of a blind mechanic, to an elderly couple that turned their home into a museum after wanting to learn more about the world.
Ali has extensive experience in both television and radio broadcasting. She spent her four years at Emerson College interning with Kiss108 Radio under the Matty in the Morning Show and the afternoon show with Romeo, as well as interning at WGBH studios under the High School Quiz Show, WHYY radio in Philadelphia, PA, DCW50 (The CW) in Washington, D.C., Dirty Water Media in Boston, MA, Birchbox in New York City, NY, and Sweety High in Los Angeles, CA. She most recently interned at Inside Edition as their news intern in New York City. She has conducted interviews with celebrities and Olympic athletes, has worked press for some of the biggest concerts in the Greater Boston Area such as Kiss108 Jingleball and Boston Calling, and most recently worked press on the red carpet of the Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall in NYC, Kids' Choice Awards and Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, CA.
